What We Believe

Crossroads Christian Fellowship is a body of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.  We have been called together by His grace and our desire to know Him in ever-increasing measure.  We are a nondenominational fellowship resting in God’s grace and agape love for us, which is the foundation of Christian fellowship with all who believe in Jesus.  It is our desire to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

We believe worship should be intelligent, and so place a strong emphasis on the teaching of God’s Word, that we might grow in our faith and walk with Jesus (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

We believe that worship of God should be spiritual; therefore it is our goal to be flexible to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our worship (Ephesians 5:18,19).

We believe that worship of God should be inspirational; therefore, we emphasize worshiping Him with our voices in songs of praise (Psalms 147:1).

We believe that worship of God will always be fruitful; therefore, we look for love in our lives as the evidence that we were moving worshiping Him (Galatians 5:22).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Genesis 1: 1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19 and John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33);

His virgin birth (Isaiah?: 14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-45);

His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26);

His Merit Goals (Hebrews 2:9);

His resurrection (John 11:25; First Corinthians 15:4);

His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19);

For His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19: 11-16).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration for salvation, because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature.  We are justified through faith by the shed blood of Christ, and only by God’s grace through faith are we saved.  (John 3:16-19, John 5:44, Romans 3:23 calm five: 8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.  (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6: 19-20, Ephesians 4: 34, 5:18).
